Specimen

Feces or vomit specimen should be collected using the cotton swab, which is provided in a sterile blister pack. For a valid test result, the swab should be sufficiently saturated.

After the sample has been collected, the cotton swab has to be placed in a buffer dilution immediately. In order to proceed with the test, a few drops of buffer dilution are to be introduced to the assigned area of the cassette.

Form

The Cassette comprises a plastic case with a test strip inside. Within the cassette, there is a designated space for sample placement and a window displaying test lines as positive, negative, or invalid results.

The sandwich lateral flow immunoassay-based test strip inside of the cassette is used for detecting Parvovirus (PV) antigens within the feline/canine biological sample.
