Specimen

For living animals, a whole blood specimen should be collected. If dealing with deceased animals, a tissue sample should be taken from either the liver or spleen.

The cotton swab has to be placed in a buffer dilution immediately after the sample has been collected. To initiate the test, it is necessary to place the buffer dilution drops onto a specified area on the test cassette.

The test cassette, needs to be used precisely as instructed to ensure accurate results. Always ensure the sterility of the environment and the tools when handling and applying the sample to the test strip to prevent any cross-contamination or false readings.

Form

The Cassette consists of a plastic box that contains the test strip inside. It has an area for sample placement and a window in which the lines will be displayed as a positive, negative or invalid test result.
