Specimen

For FIV FeLV 2-Combo Test, feline fresh whole blood needs to be collected. Alternatively, serum or plasma can be used for this test, if promptly isolated from the cat's blood to prevent hemolysis.

The specimen should be tested immediately after collection. If this is not possible, then the specimen should be refrigerated at 2 to 8 °C.

Using a capillary tube or dropper, the sample should be placed onto the designated spot on the cassette. Subsequently, the appropriate amount of the provided buffer dilution should be added to the cassette to initiate the test.
