What is Multivitamin?
Active Ingredients:
Multivitamin Premix is a supplement feed additive used to treat and prevent multiple nutritional deficiencies in camels, cows, poultry, sheep, and pigs. It is used as a supportive therapy for young animals in the rapid growth phase. Nutritional deficiencies may lead to issues like avitaminosis, degenerative myelopathy, osteomalacia, tetany, and convalescence.
This premix is composed of a mixture of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, and E) and water-soluble vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12). Fat-soluble vitamins are necessary for the normal development and maintenance of the epithelial tissues and the skeletal system in animals.
Premixes represent strong concentrates and should not be given directly to the animals. The premix should be measured before preparing. Multivitamin Premixes are combined with food or water and together they help to maintain a balanced diet in animals.
Multivitamins have a therapeutic effect and provide animals with essential vitamins that are lacking in their diets. This helps in preventing nutrient deficiencies which can additionally lead to serious health issues due to the weak immune system. Vitamins support cellular and tissue repair and promote optimal metabolism function.
Food mixture with premix is the most common and it is the most practical method. Another way of mixing the premix with food is by sprinkling over the food. This premix can be mixed with water and it is the most common method for giving the premix to poultry specifically. If the animal has a severe health issue, oral dosing with a syringe or other dosing device is recommended.
This multivitamin is available in other forms for pets, including dogs and cats. Multivitamin Soft Chews provide pets with the appropriate vitamins and minerals for a balanced diet.
This supplement is also available in the form of a bolus, multivitamin injection, and multivitamin soluble powder. Treatment options are dependent on the veterinarian's recommendations and the current health condition of the animal.

Uses
What is Multivitamin used for?
It's used to treat or prevent nutritional deficiencies, which may be caused by issues such as stress, illness, inadequate diet, or insufficient absorption (e.g. diarrhea or malabsorption). Nutritional deficiencies may lead to problems such as avitaminosis, degenerative myelopathy, rickets, osteomalacia, tetany, keratitis, and convalescence.
Supplements are the easiest method of keeping a balanced and normal nutrition in animals. Strong supplementation formula that consists of water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins can lead to an improved immune system and can prevent the animal from further health issues. Even healthy animals can use this supplement daily with a recommendation from a veterinarian.
What animals can be treated with Multivitamin Premix?
It's recommended for young animals in the rapid growth phase. It can be used for poultry, camels, cows, sheep, and pigs.
How do water-soluble vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12) help animals?
Vitamin B is found in many foods and plants, but Vitamin B12 is mostly found in foods of animal origin. It is a key micronutrient for proper brain development and is associated with one-carbon metabolism. It has a fundamental role in the brain function and prevention of central nervous system disorders and animal behavior issues such as stress. Myelopathy and neuropathy are the main clinical manifestations of vitamin B12 deficiency. This multivitamin premix will improve the blood results of the animal and lead to normal locomotory function.
Vitamin B can lead to normal pregnancy and can reduce the risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in newborns. Vitamin B supplementation can maintain the level of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is a factor that leads to normal neurological development in newborns. Animals with normal DHA during pregnancy have better-developed newborns.
How do fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, and E) help animals?
Vitamin A can improve animal vision, fetal growth, immune function, reproduction, and mucosal barrier integrity. Supplementation with vitamin A can improve the animal’s reproduction and coat quality. Vitamin A is a powerful supplement in treating keratitis.
Vitamin D is a prohormone (precursor) for calcium and together can improve the locomotor function of animals. Vitamin D can prevent soft and poorly developed bones in cases of inadequate quantities of calcium.
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that leads to normal immune function and maintenance of cellular membranes. During pregnancy, this vitamin can increase the colostrum vitamin E levels. Vitamin E can also maintain normal reproductive abilities in animals. This can lead to a normal oestrus cycle in females and normal reproductive abilities in males.

Dosage
How much Multivitamin Premix should be used?
Dosage will vary according to product, production stage, and farm condition.
Dosage also varies on the current animal health condition. Animals that suffer from serious health issues need higher doses of this multivitamin. If the animal is in a bad health condition, application with a syringe might be needed.
Refer to a veterinary doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage.
Side Effects
When used as directed, Multivitamin Premix causes few side effects. However, supplements can cause various side effects in animals.
