What is Fenbendazole?
Active Ingredients: Fenbendazole
Fenbendazole Premix is an anthelmintic drug used to treat gastrointestinal and respiratory worm infections in poultry, cows, goats, sheep, and pigs. It is an effective treatment for parasites such as Bunostomum, Haemonchus, Nematodirus, Ostertagia, Strongyloides, and lungworms like Dictyocaulus viviparus.
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole carbamate within the family of drugs known as anthelmintics. It shows a broad spectrum of activity against both mature and immature nematodes and cestodes. Fenbendazole works by inhibiting glucose uptake. This drains a parasite's glycogen reserves, which leads to its death.
This anthelmintic is an FDA-approved medication for animals. It is important to note that this formulation of Fenbendazole is for veterinary purposes only.
