What is Florfenicol?
Active Ingredients: Florfenicol
Florfenicol Tablets are an antibiotic drug used to treat certain bacterial infections in poultry and ornamental birds. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections, including those caused by chloramphenicol-resistant strains of E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus.
Florfenicol is a thiamphenicol derivative, which is similar in action to chloramphenicol. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis within the bacteria. Florfenicol displays a broad spectrum of bacteriostatic activity against gram-negative bacilli, gram-positive cocci, and atypical bacteria like Mycoplasma.
It is important to note Florfenicol Tablets are for veterinary purposes only.
