What is Diclazuril?
Active Ingredients: Diclazuril
Diclazuril Premix is an anticoccidial drug used to treat and prevent coccidial infections in poultry, sheep, and rabbits. It is effective against infections caused by Eimeria species, including Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mitis (mivati), E. maxima. E. crandallis and E. ovinoidalis. It is also used in horses for equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM).
Diclazuril is classified as an anticoccidial of the benzeneacetonitrile group. It has a coccidiocidal effect on the asexual or sexual stages of the development cycle of the parasite.
It is important to note that this drug is for veterinary purposes only. Diclazuril Premix should be prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.

Uses
What is Diclazuril used for?
It's used to treat or prevent infections caused by protozoa and other microorganisms, such as equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM) caused by Sarcocystis neurona. It's also used as a coccidiostat in chickens.
What animals can be treated with Diclazuril Premix?
This medicine is recommended for poultry, sheep, horses, and rabbits.
How is Diclazuril Premix used?
This product has been manufactured as powder, which is intended to be mixed into feed. The product should be used immediately when mixed with feed.
How should Diclazuril Premix be stored?
This medication should be stored in a dark, dry location under 30°C.
Is there a withdrawal period after treatment with Diclazuril?
The withdrawal period is 5 days for chickens.
Dosage
How much Diclazuril Premix should be given to poultry?
The usual dose is 100g mixed with 1000kg of feed.

Side Effects

Precautions

Repeated treatment with this drug may lead to resistance. Rotation with other anticoccidials therapies is recommended.
Avoid direct contact with skin or eyes. Wear protective gloves and glasses when handling this product.
