What is Flurbiprofen Sodium?

Active Ingredients: Flurbiprofen Sodium

Flurbiprofen Sodium Eye Drops are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to keep pupils from constricting during ophthalmic surgery. It is also used to treat pain, redness, inflammation, and light sensitivity in the eyes. This drug is also prescribed for uveitis before or after operations.

This medication is intended for ophthalmic use only.

Flurbiprofen Sodium belongs to a class of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Though the exact mechanism is unknown, it is known to work by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and reducing prostaglandin and thromboxane synthesis.
