What is the Newcastle Disease (ND) Vaccine?
Active Ingredients: Newcastle Disease Virus
Newcastle Disease (ND) Vaccine is a live viral vaccine used to immunize poultry against strains of the Newcastle Disease virus. As there is no immunosuppression after treatment, this vaccine is a pure, safe and stable option for poultry. It is typically administered by drinking water, eye drop, or as a spray.
Newcastle Disease is caused by an RNA virus that belongs to the genus Avulavirus within the Paramyxoviridae family. It is typically spread through respiratory and fecal matter. Though some strains of the virus only produce mild respiratory symptoms, some strains have a high mortality rate and may cause severe neurological problems in surviving poultry.
The Newcastle Disease (ND) Vaccine is available in three formulations, including the Egg infective dose at 50% (EID50), La Sota strain (≥106.3EID50/dose), and the Clone 30 Strain, which has a high antigen content (≥106.0EID50/dose).
