What is Dimpylate?
Active Ingredients: Dimpylate
Dimpylate Solution is a topical insecticide used to treat certain infestations of ectoparasites like ticks, mites, and lice. This solution is suitable for treating livestock like sheep and cows. Though Dimpylate is identified as WHO Class II, it has highly toxic effects on poultry, cats, and bees.
Dimpylate acts on the nervous system of the parasites as an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme that hydrolyzes acetylcholine (ACH). ACH is a molecule involved in the transmission of nervous signals from nerves to muscles and between neurons in the brain.
Dimpylate is a yellow or light-brown crystal liquid with a pungent smell. It is important to note Dimpylate Solution is for veterinary purposes only.
