What is Cypermethrin?
Active Ingredients: Cypermethrin
Cypermethrin Pour-On Solution is a ready-to-use topical antiparasitic drug used to treat and control ectoparasitic infestations on cows and sheep. In cattle, it is effective against stable flies, face flies, head flies, and midges. Controlling the fly population helps reduce the spread of diseases and infections among livestock.
In sheep, Cypermethrin is indicated for the treatment and control of blowfly strikes, head flies, ticks, and biting lice.
Cypermethrin is classified as a synthetic pyrethroid. It works as a contact insecticide, which has a paralytic effect upon contact with the parasite. This drug does not exhibit a systemic mode of action, which makes it an ineffective treatment option for blood-sucking parasites.
It is important to note that Cypermethrin Pour-On Solution is for veterinary purposes only.
