What is Tylvalosin Tartrate?
Active Ingredients: Tylvalosin Tartrate
Tylvalosin Granules are an antibiotic used to treat certain infections in poultry and pigs. It's indicated for respiratory infections such as swine pasteurellosis, porcine infectious pleuropneumonia, and Mycoplasmal pneumonia. It is also used to treat alimentary infections and sow postpartum infections.
Tylvalosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis within the bacteria's cell wall.
Tylvalosin Granules should only be used in the drinking water for pigs. Mixing with the feed is not recommended.

Uses
What is Tylvalosin Tartrate used for?
It's used to treat bacterial infections such as:
- porcine proliferative enteropathy (PPE) associated with Lawsonia intracellularis infection
- swine respiratory disease (SRD) associated with Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus parasuis, Pasteurella multocida, and Streptococcus suis
What animals can be treated with Tylvalosin Tartrate Granules?
This medicine is recommended for poultry and pigs.
How are Tylvalosin Tartrate Granules used?
This medicine has been manufactured as a powder. It is only used in the drinking water for pigs. Mixing with the feed is not recommended.
If the product is mixed directly into a drinking water system, sprinkle the granules on the surface of the water. Mix slowly and thoroughly for more than 3 minutes. Do not use the water mixture after 24 hours.
How should Tylvalosin Tartrate Granules be stored?
This medication should be stored in a dark, dry location under 30°C.
Is there a withdrawal period after treatment with Tylvalosin Tartrate?
When used in accordance with recommendations, no withdrawal period is required before slaughter for human consumption.
Dosage
How much Tylvalosin Tartrate should be given to pigs?
Preparation of drinking water medicated, 5mg of Tylvalosin per kg of body weight of an animal each day for 5 days.

Side Effects
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Tylvalosin Tartrate Granules.

Precautions
