Ivermectin + Clotrimazole + Florfenicol + Betamethasone Ear Drops are a topical treatment for ear infections in animals like cats, dogs, and rabbits. This combination drug is indicated for otitis media, including complicated infections due to a combination of ectoparasites, fungi, or bacteria.
This medication combines 4 active ingredients, which target both the infections and symptoms like inflammation and itching.
Ivermectin is an anthelmintic, which is derived from avermectin. It works by inhibiting nervous system function within the parasite. Ivermectin is effective against a wide range of ectoparasites, including nematodes, mites, and gadflies. (Otodectes, Haematopinus, Sarcoptes, Demodex, Gasterophilus, Hypoderma, Linognathus, Damalina, Solenopotes, Hаematobia, Psoroptes, Oestrus, Melophagus).
Clotrimazole is classified as an azole antifungal, which is derived from Imidazole. It works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of sterol ergosterol within susceptible fungi, including yeasts like Candida and Rhodotorula. Clotrimazole also displays antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Florfenicol, a thiamphenicol derivative, is an antibacterial agent with bacteriostatic activity against gram-negative, gram-positive, and atypical bacteria like Mycoplasma.
Betamethasone is a glucocorticoid steroid with anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties.

Dosage

- 10-15kg: 4 drops per ear
- More than 15kg: 5 drops per ear
Drops should be administered 2 times per day, for 5-10 days.
Always clean the ear canal and surrounding areas before treatment. After applying the drops, massage the ears gently, and prevent the animal from licking the solution for at least 10 minutes.
