Uses
What is Fluticasone Propionate used for?
It is used to relieve nasal symptoms associated with allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, such as stuffy/runny nose, itching, sneezing, and post-nasal drip. It is also used to treat nasal polyps.
How is Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray used?
This medication is manufactured for nasal use only. Do not spray into the mouth or eyes. The bottle should be shaken well before use.
What dose should be taken?
For allergic rhinitis, the usual dose for adults is 1-2 sprays in each nostril, daily.
For the treatment of nasal polyps, the usual dose is 2 sprays in each nostril, twice daily.

Side Effects
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted side effects can occur from the use of Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray.
Common side effects include, but may not be limited to:
- headache
- irritation or burning in the nose

- flu-like symptoms

Precautions
Do NOT use Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray if:

- You have eye problems such as glaucoma and cataracts.
Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spread to others (such as chickenpox, measles, and flu).
Though it is unlikely, Fluticasone Propionate may slow down a child's growth if used for long-term treatment.
