What is Etoposide?
Active Ingredients: Etoposide
Etoposide Injection is an antineoplastic drug used in cancer chemotherapy. It is indicated for the treatment of many types of cancer, including testicular, bladder, prostate, lung, stomach, and uterine. Etoposide is also used as a high-dose therapy for stem cell or bone marrow transplants.
The active ingredient, Etoposide, derives from podophyllotoxin, a toxin found in the American Mayapple. It works as a topoisomerase II inhibitor, which slows or stops the growth of cancer cells in the body.
