Dihydroartemisinin and Piperaquine are used for the treatment and prevention of malaria. This combination drug is used to treat malaria in individuals with suspected or confirmed infection, and for prevention of infection in individuals with no immunity to malaria who are visiting a malaria-endemic region.
Dihydroartemisinin is a derivative of artemisinin that has been added to Piperaquine, which is used as a prophylaxis. The combination is effective against malaria infections caused by P. Falciparum and P. vivax.

Precautions

- You are using carbamazepine, efavirenz, enzalutamide, hydantoins, mefloquine, nevirapine, phenobarbital, primidone, rifamycins.
- You are taking hormonal birth control.

There is little evidence with regard to the use of Dihydroartemisinin + Piperaquine during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so talk to a doctor or healthcare professional before taking the medicine.
