What is Aciclovir (Acyclovir)?

Active Ingredients: Aciclovir

Aciclovir (Acyclovir) Cream is an antiviral topical drug used to treat cold sores (herpes labialis) caused by the herpes simplex (HSV-1 and HSV-2) virus. This medication will not cure the virus infection and patients may develop similar symptoms in the future. This cream is intended for administration directly to the skin.

Aciclovir is a synthetic guanosine analog that belongs to the class of medicines called antivirals. It works by stopping viral replication, which decreases the severity of symptoms and duration of illness. This formulation is effective against infections caused by the herpes simplex virus.

AdvaCare Pharma also produces Aciclovir (Acyclovir) as an Eye Ointment. This specific formulation is indicated for the treatment of herpetic keratitis (dendritic ulcers on the cornea). This particular formulation is intended for topical administration to the eyes.

Aciclovir (Acyclovir) Cream is manufactured and exported by AdvaCare Pharma. This medicine is produced in our facilities in China, India, and the USA. These manufacturing factories are GMP certified and are regularly inspected to ensure they meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
