What is Oxytetracycline + Flunixin?
Active Ingredients: Oxytetracycline, Flunixin
Oxytetracycline + Flunixin Injection is a combination drug used to treat and control bacterial infections in livestock animals like cows, sheep, goats, and pigs. This parenteral medicine combines an antibiotic, which treats the infection, with an NSAID that helps relieve symptoms caused by the disease.
Oxytetracycline is indicated for the treatment of respiratory infections, including pneumonia and shipping fever, and acute mastitis.
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the family called tetracyclines. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in the bacteria. Oxytetracycline shows activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Diplococcus pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli. It also shows action against Chlamydia, Rickettsia, and spirochetes.
Flunixin is used to reduce pain, inflammation and fever. It is classified as a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which works by inhibiting the action of cyclooxygenase.
AdvaCare Pharma's Oxytetracycline + Flunixin Injections are manufactured in GMP-certified facilities located in China, India, and the USA. We routinely inspect our production facilities to ensure our products meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
