Quinine Dihydrochloride Injection is an antimalarial, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine. It can be used parenterally for cerebral, severe, or complicated malaria, or in cases when vomiting prevents the retention of orally administered drugs. It may be used alone or with other medications.
Quinine Dihydrochloride Injection (DHL) is used for the treatment of malaria and associated febrile states, leg cramps caused by vascular spasms, internal hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and pleural cavities after thoracoplasty.

How should Quinine Dihydrochloride Injection be used?
This medication is manufactured as solution, which is packaged in ampoules. It is given by injection into a vein or muscle. It should only be administered by a doctor or healthcare provider.
What dose of Quinine Dihydrochloride Injection should be given?
The usual dose for adults is 20mg/kg.
The usual dose for children is 10-20mg/kg.

Side Effects

Precautions
Do NOT have a Quinine Dihydrochloride Injection if:
- You are taking Rifamycins and you smoke.
