What is Fluconazole + Tinidazole?

Fluconazole + Tinidazole Tablets is a combination anti-infective treatment used for fungal and bacterial infections. It combines an antifungal and antiprotozoal agent, which target the infection through different actions. This medicine is typically prescribed to treat vaginal infections.
Each box contains a blister with 1 Fluconazole Tablet and 2 Tinidazole Tablets.
Fluconazole is classified as an azole antifungals. It is in the subgroup triazole, which is indicated to treat systemic infections. The active ingredient, fluconazole, works by stopping the fungi from producing ergosterol, an essential substance for the fungal cell membrane.
Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole antimicrobial. It works by damaging the DNA of susceptible microorganisms. Tinidazole is effective against some types of bacteria and protozoa, including Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba histolytica, and Giardia lamblia.

What is Fluconazole + Tinidazole used for?

Precautions

- You have hypersensitivity to nitroimidazole derivatives.

This medication may not be suitable for people with certain conditions, including:
- lung diseases
