Dimenhydrinate Tablets are a drug used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness in adults and children over 2 years old. It is also used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by surgery, radiation sickness, side effects of drug treatment, and other causes.
Dimenhydrinate is classified as an antihistamine. Though the exact mechanism of action is not known, it is thought to work by blocking the actions of histamine.

What is Dimenhydrinate used for?
It is used to control nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by conditions like:
- motion sickness
- surgery

How are Dimenhydrinate Tablets used?
This medication is intended to be taken orally.
What dose should be taken?
To prevent motion sickness, the usual dose is 50-100mg, taken 30 minutes before motion and every 4-6 hours. The maximum dose is 400mg.
For pediatric patients, the usual dose is 12.50-25mg, taken every 6-8 hours. The maximum dose for children aged 2-6 years old is 75mg per day. For children between 6-12 years, the maximum dose is 150mg.

Side Effects
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Dimenhydrinate Tablets.
