What is Atenolol?
Active Ingredients: Atenolol
Atenolol Tablets are a drug used to treat hypertension, prevent angina, and improve survival after myocardial infarction. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This drug may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
Atenolol is in a class of medications called beta-blockers, which is a class of drugs used primarily for cardiovascular diseases. It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing the heart rate to improve blood flow and decrease blood pressure.
