What is Aluminum Hydroxide used for?
It is used to treat symptoms caused by too much stomach acid, such as heartburn, upset stomach, sour stomach, acid indigestion, and ulcers.
How should Aluminum Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide Tablets be used?
This medication is intended to be taken orally. Aluminum Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide Tablets should be taken at least 2 hours before or after other medications.
What dose should be taken?
Recommended dosage may vary based on different medical conditions:
- For dyspepsia, the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken up to 4 or 6 times, as needed after meals or before sleeping. The maximum dosage is 3,840mg per day. The duration of the treatment is up to 2 weeks.
- For the long-term therapy of reflux, the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime.
- For recurrent duodenal ulcers, the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime. The duration of treatment is 7 days.
- For uncomplicated duodenal ulcers, the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime. The duration of treatment is 4-6 weeks.
- For uncomplicated gastric ulcers, the usual dose is 1 tablet, taken 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime. Treatment continues until the ulcer is completely healed.

Side Effects
